Edit Photos on Google Photos – Complete Tutorial

The new Google Photos app looks a lot like the old Photos app that came with Google+ (same icon and everything). The key difference is Google Photo is a independent app,  no longer tied to Google+, and you can backup your photos to Google Drive

There are lot of features in Google Photos and one of the wonderful feature is ” Edit pictures ” , where in you can change dates and colors and brightness, crop and rotate pictures and much more.

How to Edit Pictures on Android

  1. Open the Google Photos app .
  2. Touch the photo you want to edit.
  3. Touch the pencil icon . Choose what to do:
    • Tune icon : Automatically adjust color and exposure, manually change lighting, manually adjust color, or add effects.
    • Photo icon : Add or adjust a filter.
    • Crop icon : Crop or rotate.

      Tip: While you’re editing, you can touch and hold the photo to compare your edits to the original.

  4. At the bottom right, touch the checkmark .
  5. At the top right, touch SAVE.

Your edits will be shown on a new copy of the photo. Your original, unedited photo will also be in your Google Photos library.

How to Edit pictures on iOS

  1. Open the Google Photos app .
  2. Touch the photo you want to edit.

  1. Go to photos.google.com.

How to change Date in pictures 

You can change the date or time stamp for a photo or video using a computer.

  1. Using a computer, go to photos.google.com.
  2. Open the item you want to change.
  3. At the top right, click the info icon .
  4. On the right, click the date.
  5. Change the date or time > click SAVE.
