The mobile world has eyes on HTC to see if its next launches will spur it from its current financial hardship; but the mobile world also has eyes on Windows mobile, a platform that’s lasking in incentive, innovation and overall appeal. While deals and partnerships are not uncommon in the world of business, it’s rather interesting to know that Microsoft and HTC have partnered up for a new project.
While details are scarce about this partnership, it’s only natural to assume that a new handset might be in the works. Even though HTC is in a really bad spot, it’s undenyable that it produces trustworthy hardware. Though we’re really worried about Windows Mobile. Ever since the beginning, Windows Mobile has been playing third fiddle to Android and iOS, though it was able to secure a noteworthy spot in the market. That continues to today; and let’s face it, it’s never going to change, but Windows Mobile has offered very little in the way of change and innovation. But it seems that Microsoft is serious about this partnersip, as it has hired a director to oversee the development and marketing of this new device.
How could this partnership help both sides? Whatever the outcome, one thing we can be certain of is the fact that something interesting is in store for us down the road, so stay tuned for more developments in this story.
