Huawei home made processor Kirin 950 – the fastest processor in the world, to be launched on November 5th
How the world has changed over years from Star Wars to Smartphone war, I still remember Star Trek way back in 1980’s and now it’s smart phone wars, every week we witness a new Technology. I don’t know how far it will be fair to use the phrase ” Star Trek laid the foundation of Wireless Communication “.
Kirin 950 TSMC’s 16 nm FinFET process, will be running an octa-core processor, where one-half of the processor will comprise of Cortex A72 and feature 2.4 GHz octa-core processor and Mali-T880 MP6 GPU. It’s not true Octa-Core processor, but combination of two Quad-Core Processors.
Kirin 950 will be combined with Mali-T880 MP6 GPU, and will feature LTE Cat 10, that can reach the downloading speed of up to 450 Mbps and Uploading speed of up to 100 Mbps. Devices with Kirin 950 would perform far better with LPDDR4 RAM, compared to its predecessor. Along with these features, it would support up to 42 MP camera dual ISP, Bluetooth 4.2, eMMC 5.1, Native 10-bit 4K video encode and Tensilica HiFi 4 DSP.
HiSilicon Kirin 950 is supposed to be more powerful than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Samsung Exynos 7420, the last one being utilized on some Flagship Models like Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Note 5 or Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
How both the processors have performed on Geekbench :
- Single-core test: 1,909 points
- Multi-core test: 6,096 points
- Single-core test: 1,520 points
- Multi-core test: 5,478 points
- Single-core test: 1,732 points
- Multi-core test: 4,958 points
You can clearly evaluate from Results that Kirin 950 is 20 % faster than Exynos 7420. Apple’s A8 SoC, Kirin 950 will also have an i7 co-processor present it, summarizing that Huawei is going make sufficient breathing room for the primary processors to work their magic.
Though these are just the rumors, Let’s wait for real processor to be revelaed within couple of days.
Any way, Friends do share your thoughts on Fastest Processor in the World.
