Blackberry India Ex Head Sunil Lalwani joins Qualcomm

This is nothing new for Industry. Top Executives do leave and join other companies, but, when it comes to Blackberry, it raises lot of questions, specially regarding to Business.

Sunil lalwani left last month , and joined Qualcom after a short vacation. Even, Siddharth Singh, BB Mobiles Modern Trade and Retail Head, left and joined Intel based at Mumbai.

Sunil Lalwani was promoted as Managing Director in May 2013, replacing Sunil Dutt who left in March 2013. Previous to this Sunil was leading Enterprise Solutions.

At BlackBerry, Lalvani was responsible for overseeing and driving BlackBerry’s overall business strategy and growth in India and was focused on driving differentiated solutions for consumers and enterprise customers. Lalvani was also instrumental in leading a strong engagement with Carrier partners and ISV’s in India, to drive uptake of BlackBerry’s services portfolio in the India region

For Qualcomm also its not an easy go, Avneesh Agrawal left the organization after a marathon run of 20 years.

Cristiano Amon, executive vice president and co-president, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. said “I am pleased to welcome Sunil Lalvani as vice president and president of Qualcomm India. His broad industry experience and extensive leadership experience will enable us to strengthen existing strategic relationships, identify new opportunities for business growth and build new relationships in India.”
