LG Electronics just revealed that it’s stopping sales of LG Urbane watch LTE Edition, due to ” some hardware problem ( not yet revealed by the Company ) which are creating day to day operation issues “
LG trouble does not seem to end in Mobiles, First LG lost slot in Top 5 Smartphone Vendors in Q3 2015 and now LG Smartwatch did the wonder. LG seems to loose customer confidence in the product recently.
LG Urbane LTE was the first Android Smartwear with 4G connectivity and was launched last week with AT&T. Verizon was also expected to put the device on Sales from 20th November, but both the carriers have withdrawn sales.
As Per Android Police, LG stated
We understand that you are currently reviewing our latest smartwatch; however, late in the quality assurance process for the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, our engineers were made aware of a hardware issue which affects the day-to-day functionality of the device. After further investigation, the decision was made to cancel the rollout of the Urbane 2nd Edition LTE due to the complicated nature of the issue.
Whether the device will be available in the future will be decided at a later time. For now, our top priority is to ensure that only products that meet our very specific quality standards are available for purchase.
As per certain confirmed Resources, Customers who have already purchased LG Smartwatch will be either refunded or can be exchanged for another Device.
One Reddit user already posted ” So, it seems that the day of the supposed delivery has finally gotten here for the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition on Verizon. Unfortunately, it seems that the roll out is “On Hold” for some reason unknown to the Verizon associates. The watches aren’t shipping to those who pre-ordered them, and they aren’t showing up at the stores. Anyone have any knowledge of what the hold up is, and when we might expect to actually be able to get the watch? ”
