Linkedin to launch new advertisement services – Using Linkedin Users Data
The professional networking company Linkedin is launching new advertising products after it acquired last year Bizo at $175 million, which has got a strong advertising network that reaches more than 2,500 publishers.
This new line of Products may boost LinkedIn advertising business, which made $455 million in revenue in 2014. Linkedin main revenue stream is subscriptions to recruiters and premium features for Job seekers / Corporates.

Russell Glass, LinkedIn Head of Products stated “This is the first time we’ve had a fully integrated product that allows marketers to reach our audiences outside of LinkedIn. ” The offering is an ad-based version of marketing automation, a practice most often executed via email. Marketing automation via email is limited in scale since 95% of website visitors don’t provide an email address, Mr. Glass said.
LinkedIn is offering the most precise targeting of the group, allowing marketers to pick and choose exactly the type of professionals they want to target out of its 347-million-strong network, and then show them ads across the web.

LinkedIn gained 15 million users in the fourth quarter for a total of 347 million. A monthly average of 93 million people visited LinkedIn during the fourth quarter, up from 90 million in the third quarter. That increase should help LinkedIn gather more data on users and sell more advertising.
With this move, LinkedIn will be in direct competition with tech giants which includes Google, FB and Twitter.
Earlier this month, LinkedIn reported earnings and revenue surpassing analysts & forecasts for the 15th straight quarter.Fourth-quarter revenue jumped 44% to $643 million from the year-ago period.
