Find a Bug in Android System and get rewarded by Google
The scheme of paying developers to find flaws in software nothing new for Google, but, this is the first time big money has been offered for the Android OS.
Last year Google paid around $ 20,000 for finding bugs in Chrome Browser, but this year amount is way too high. Minimum amount to be paid is $ 500 for finding a bug in Android and it can go high depending upon the seriousness of vulnerability and the work & time required to fix the bug.
Google’s Adrian Ludwig, head of Android security, commented: “We see mobile becoming arguably the most important way people connect to the internet … [yet] most security research is still focused on legacy systems. We’re trying to move that, by incentivising security researchers to focus their energy on mobile.”
If you might have noticed, Google has been loosing big time money on ” in app purchase ” because of users Rooting the device and using third party applications like Freedom and cheat engine for free purchase.
Now, Google has to strengthen the security system after the New Android M has been revealed, as No permission will be required to install the app.
