Having used Moto G 3rd generation and Samsung Galaxy J5, It was not at all difficult to make out which Smartphone is better

First of all Let’s have a look at the Specs of both the Smartphones :

Moto G got 16% faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy J5. Faster CPU means more smooth experience.

RAM

Around 33% more RAM than Samsung Galaxy J5. More RAM means more applications can run at the same time, which makes the device faster.

In-built Memory

Around 100% more inbuilt memory than Samsung Galaxy J5. More memory allows you to store more songs, videos, photos and install more applications.

Camera Quality

Moto g focus is much faster and picture clarity is way better. Moto g gave fat better in depth quality than J5. Even movies taken by Moto G in different light conditions were far better than J5.

Though there are other points where J5 seems better

Battery

Around 5% more Battery Capacity than Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen). With more battery size, device’s battery can generally last more time, though it depends on various other factors too.

Also, J5 battery is removable which is far comfortable than in-built.

Size 

Around 26% slimmer than Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen). Slimmer devices are easier to carry in pocket and look more fashionable.

The biggest reason to buy Moto g 3rd gen is IPX7, Water resistant. I could freely take my Moto in River and Waterfall and still it worked well.
