Google Nexus 6P is one device, which can blow any one’s mind. Beautifully Crafted, complete Metal Design with aluminum Body. Holding Nexus is a pleasure, does not slip , and you get a good grip with chamfered Edges and flat sides.

When Nexus Series was seriously promoted with LG, Nexus almost killed LG flagship devices on price. Later, Nexus started increases the Price and reached a little high. Specially, With Moto Nexus, price was too high, but with New series, price seem to be way too aggressive and any user can think of shifting from iPhone and Galaxy latest series to Nexus 6P.

Let’s have a close look at some of the factors which make Nexus 6P the most desirable smartphone of 2016.

This is the area, where Nexus has improved a lot. A full metal uni-body makes Nexus a Unique Phone. Buttons are placed comfortably for single hand usage. The Smartphone is a comfort when you hold in hand, no slip, a tight grip.

On right side, you will have Volume and power, On Top you will find a Stereo Jack, bottom you will find a C Type USB. USB C Type is still at a baby stage, and Do not forget to carry this cable with you when on move. It’s very difficult to find USB C Type cable at all places.

On the back, you will find a round 360 degree finger print sensor with a shiny metal circle. on the top, you will find a black strip with camera, laser auto focus and Flash.

In the front, you will notice Dual Front facing speakers. You will not find any capacitive Touch buttons, means the Display is clean and that helps in reducing Screen to Body Ratio, which in case of Nexus is pretty good @ 71.4 %. The Device weighs only 178 gm.

What makes the phone look prominent, is the Nexus logo placed vertically on the phone. The metal touch and flat round edges, make the grip good. Not to mention, The Device come in slim smartphones category, as its hardly 7.3 mm thick.

In plain words, Nexus looks a Premium Smartphone.

Nexus 6P sports a 5.7″ QuadHD Display with 2560 * 1440 pixels ~ 518 ppi. If you pick up any Premium smartphone, QHD Display is a common display. The Display color saturation is great and gives vibrant looks.

The only issue here, you may face is with the Screen Brightness, which is not very high as compared to Galaxy Note 5. More over, the black sides definitely makes the color more vibrant.

Yes, you will have a good sharpness when it comes to pictures or reading. I dont know,  how far I am correct, but Nexus got a good viewing Angle. The Display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and Olephobic coating for better experience.

The main point which are considered in Display are : Sharpness and Visibility in Strong Sun light. Nexus 6P clears both with flying colors.

                  Hardware and Performance

                  Nexus 6P is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Processor, clocked at 2 GHz – 1.55 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A57 . The Smartphone comes with 3GB RAM and 3 memory variants – 32GB / 64GB / 128GB.

At the moment, you will find 32GB in India. The key question asked by all the users is ” what’s the user memory we get on Nexus 6p ”

                  • Nexus 6p – 32GB – User gets 24GB
                  • Nexus 6p – 64GB – User gets 56GB
                  • Nexus 6p – 128GB – User gets 111GB

The key question comes why in 128GB you get only 111GB, the explanation as per me is ( please correct me, if I am wrong ) :

128 GB actually isn’t 128 GB. The GB they use is only 1000 MB, instead of the 1024 that are actually in a GB. So when you adjust for that, you actually only have 119 GB of storage, and the 8 GB used out of the box go to the OS.

Another point to clarify is, The bad reputation of Snapdragon 810 for ” Heating Issues “. Nexus 6p does not have any Thermal issues.

Regarding Performance, Though the Antutu Nenchmark score is not high as compared to other smartphones, let’s say Oneplus Two, but still no Lag and no issues in the performance, whether browsing, or playing games or doing multi-tasking.

When it comes to Android Smartphones, you can not doubt Android Version on Nexus. The latest and the fastest upgrade of Android. Nexus is always on Top list to get Android latest version. You can always experience the Latest Android Stock.

You can never ever replace the experience of Stock Android, with another UI’s. Even Galaxy is loosing out on few UX features. Having said that, you can never ever find a device better than Nexus when it comes to OS.

Running a device on Android M is a different ball game all together. Thats not the end, What about Google Now and New System UI Tuner.

You can read more about Android M here.

Over the years, Nexus has improved a lot, specially in 2015, Nexus concentrated for the first time on Camera. Camera specs speak themselves about the quality :

                  • 12.3 MP Laser Auto-focus, Dual LED Dual Tone Flash
                  • 1.55 µm pixel size, Touch focus, Face Detection
                  • Video : 2160 @ 30fps, 720p @ 240 fps
                  • Selfie : 8 MP , 1080p @ 30 fps

The good feature is you can activate camera easily ” Double Tap Power button ” and here we go : camera is active.

To be honest, Nexus 6p camera is faster than Samsung Galaxy. Double Tap ( almost a second ) and laser auto-focus, means Technically within 2~3 seconds you can click a picture.

When it comes to Camera settings, you may not a very hi-fi settings, Google has made it as simple as possible.

Pictures speak better than words :

Nexus 6p is powered by a 3450 mAh Non-removable battery. Battery life is good, only missing point is non-removable battery. The battery is strong enough to last for over a day on standard usage.

As you are aware, Nexus 6p is got USB C Type charging port. Better don’t forget your charging cable, as USB C is not very common.

With Screen on, you will get any where between 4~5 hours of operational time. On an average, you will drain around 2 % of battery, that makes it around 45 hours of stand by time.

Just to remind, Android M features ” Doze feature”. Doze feature basically prevents apps from draining battery in standby mode. How to activate Doze Mode :

                  • Settings
                  • Battery
                  • Battery Optimization
                  • Apps
                  • Choose options : Optimize / Don’t optimize

Huawei Nexus 6p is elegantly designed with a Premium look. Though, it may not beat some of the Flagship Models, but comparing the price vs features, Nexus 6p is a steal.

Nexus 6p has set some new standards in terms of Camera and Display. At the moment, No complaints with the Smartphone.

                  For Rs 39,999 ( 32GB ) and 42999 ( 64GB ), The Smartphone is a deal.
