The newest devices from Google’s Nexus line are going to be launching soon, which means that more and more leaks and renders are going to be popping up almost on the daily. A new leaked render that just popped up is a photo giving us some good perspective on the upcoming phone codenamed “Sailfish”.
We’ve seen some leaked photos not too long ago of this phone which show off this design, but they were not of any sort of decent quality. The render here shows us the device at a revealing angle and confirms that it will adopt the profound chamfered edges found on the HTC 10. This may be an established design language feature for HTC. We see what looks to be two speaker grills on the bottom; hopefully they will BOTH be speakers, and not just one. There’s a USB Type-C port of course and the button setup is the same as with the 6P: both buttons are on the right, with the volume rocker on the bottom and the power button on the top. The glass on the back add aesthetics the the phone, but doesn’t eliminate the need for antenna bands, as evidenced by the top and bottom of the device.
So far, the Sailfish is shaping up the be a pretty attractive device. What do you guys think of the design? Is this a phone that you would buy? Let me know in the comments below.
