Online Retail Business success for Mobile Phones

Indian Mobile Business is becoming playground not only for New Mobile Manufacturers , but also for New Channels. Retail Channel success is tempting most of Smartphone makers to go ahead with Trend.

Xiaomi started this trend in China and moved to India with great success. Motorola followed and got same experience. This tempted Micromax to launch Yu online. Micromax landed up selling 25000 mobiles within 4 seconds. Lava is following same by introducing a sub brand under Xolo.

What we believe, later on Lenovo and Blackberry will be using Online platform exclusively.

What makes consumers to buy mobiles online even though they have not seen and tested the product ? Is it price or product hype or ease of shopping. Not easy to answer as its mix of all. Today, Internet is one of the key medium for communication and marketing. Companies mainly rely on bloggers, influencers and word of mouth for selling product online.

How Xiaomi did it : By creating an impressive base of almost 35 million users worldwide over time . Based on the data gathered from online buyers & bloggers, started manufacturing mobiles based on consumer insight and a very aggressive price point. Best point is, Users get solution online which is very comfy. Xiaomi online platform is very aggressive. Its like loyalty program. Regular users get promoted , may be as Moderators and given different designations and making them feel part of company.

Same is followed by Yureka also.

Online platform is always acceptable to companies as its gives greater control over channel, distribution, price and demand and most important point, Reach is all across the Nation. Though Logically, Reach and coverage seems to be more in Brick and Mortar Stores but technically , its more online. Best point of Online, If you launch a product today and within no time, product reach is across whole geography.

If companies are cautious while delivering product and service online, Future will be Online Retail Business.

  • I got LifeLock because of its advertising in NRA magazines (and maybe AARP). But it is charging my credit card $18 per month for their most basic protection level! I found Bargaineering.com website because AAA is now offering ProtectMyID FREE WITH AAA MEMBERSHIP (YOU MUST ENROLL IN ProtectMyID Essential IN ORDER TO RECEIVE BENEFITS). Or PROVIDES EXTRA SURVEILLANCE THROUGHOUT YOUR DAILY LIFE FOR $6.95/MONTH (56 DISCOUNT FOR AAA MEMBERS) to monitor the other two credit bureaus. Does anyone need this? Does anyone need AAA or any other insurance? I’ve found AAA worthwhile. After the reviews on this Bargaineering and this 20SomethingFinance.com website, I’ve decided to cancel my LifeLock and get the free version of ProtectMyId, since I am gonna keep AAA. I will try OptOutDetectives.com too, after reading the comments on this website.
