Qualcomm in trouble after Samsung says no to Snapdragon 810

Last week, Samsung denied using Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 in upcoming Mobiles. Following this, Qualcomm share dropped by almost 8 %.

Samsung denied on Snapdragon 810 because of Thermal ( heating ) issues, rather it will prefer to use in house developed . This is a major setback for Qualcomm. Though LG , Xiaomi and HTC will be using Snapdragon 810 in G2 Flex, Note Pro and M9. Samsung is one of the largest customer for Qualcomm. Though, Qualcomm is developing an upgraded version of SoC for Samsung, but, chances are few that Samsung will shift to 810, As, Samsung will reveal flagship models at MWC 2015 and updated 810 release will be by March.

Till now Qualcomm has not declared officially that which partner is dropping Snapdragon 810, but company has already felt the heat of loosing customers.

Another rumour was that LG will sue Qualcomm for not proving upgraded version is also not true.
