Samsung has expanded its range of budget Galaxy tablets with the launch of the Tab E Lite. The slate has been launched in Canada alongside the Galaxy Tab A 7.0, which was unveiled in Poland last month. The Galaxy Tab E Lite is compact offering that runs the dated Android 4.4 KitKat with the brand’s proprietary TouchWiz user interface on top.
Both are tablets that can accompany owners when on the go. Galaxy Tab E Lite is able to pump out favorite content, the Tab A 7 is thinner, lighter and features a neat non-slip back. This makes the tablet real easy to hold and helps prevent anyone from accidentally dropping it.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite sports a 7″ TFT display bearing a resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels. The slate is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor of unknown make ( supposed to be Snapdragon 410 ), coupled with 1GB of RAM. For storage, the tablet gets 8GB of internal memory, out of which, 5.1GB is user accessible.
The Galaxy Tab E Lite got a 2 MP primary camera that can record VGA videos. Unfortunately, the device doesn’t supports a front-facing camera for selfies and video calling purposes. In terms of connectivity, it gets Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro-USB 2.0. The slate is powered by a 3,600 mAh battery, As per Samsung, the battery supports nine hours of web browsing.
The 7-inch Galaxy Tab E Lite will come in white and shall set you back $149.99 while the 7-inch Galaxy Tab A will be available in both black and white for $199.99.
Samsung has not revealed yet, whether the Tablets will touch Indian market or no, and if yes, than when ?
