Though Samsung has managed to increase both Sales and Profit QoQ, but as compared to 2014, Samsung is loosing in big way

Key Learnings

Samsung lost most of the Sales in low and low-mid segment to the Chinese Smartphone manufacturers like Xiaomi, Gionee and Indian manufacturers mainly Intex and Micromax

The growing segment is of users who are shifting from Feature-phone to Smartphone and this market is primarily catered by Intex.

Samsung is not an On-line Model company, Tentatively Samsung has to spend more money on Marketing as compared to Xiaomi and One-plus.

Low Sales and wrong forecast of Galaxy S6 forced Samsung to reduce the price of both Models Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in tune of 130 – 180 $.

Way forward for Samsung mobiles

Samsung plan to increase Model line up specially in Low-Mid range to counter Xiaomi.

In Mid range, Samsung may introduce a mass market Smartphone to counter One-plus

Adjust the price of Galaxy S6 to reduce inventory and increase demand

Fulfill the growing demand of Galaxy S6 Edge

Launch new Models in Big Screens between 5″ – 5.5″

More efficient Tie-up with local and overseas carriers
