Smartphone manufacturers race for Foldable Device in 2017

Global increase in Smartphones and availability of better specs at lower prices, has been hitting Major Smartphone manufacturers badly, like LG and Samsung. Though Samsung has managed sustainability by launching the famous S and Note series, But for LG it has been a tough time, specially when Flex and G series got a bad hit.

Specially, failue of G Flex series has lowered LG Profitability in lot of Regions. The only way left for LG Smartphones is to infuse New Technologies in Upcoming Smartphones, specially Foldable Displays, which have been the Center of Attraction in 2016.

After the Early announcements from Samsung, Lenovo and LG, Now LG is putting pressure on R&D and Production Team to launch commercial Foldable Smartphone in early 2017 ahead of competition.

Sources from South Korea have confirmed that LG has accelerated the development of foldable phones. LG is investing heavily in R&D in Foldable Displays, trying to get the mass production either before 2017 or in Early 2017 at least. LG did have the G Flex models to fall back on over the past years, but it’s been a long while since a product from this range was unveiled. It’s true that Samsung hasn’t quite enter the foldable phone arena yet, although patents and concepts have surfaced.

LG has apparently ordered the components for Foldable Smartphones. Sales are expected from 2017 and but the most interesting part will be : Whether it will be True Foldable Smartphone with flexible battery, memory and motherboard, or just the Foldable Display like G Flex series, which will be quite hard to achieve.
