Another point to mention is, If we have powerful Phablets like 6″ or 6.5″, The day is not far we may not be needing Laptops.
Low end smartphones may see a screen size of 5″. But the question Will we get 2K Display in Mid End Smartphones.
This part will see major Transformation, Smartphone manufacturers are trying to compete with Digital Camera, specially Point & Shoot. With the emerging Technologies in smartphones, Will we see death of Point n Shoot cameras by 2020 ??
More and More companies are trying to introduce new sensors, and trying to introduce Manual features in smartphones.
Battery Oriented Smartphones
We can calculate battery life in two ways, One is bigger battery and another is Fast charge.
Batteries are getting slimmer, without compromising on strength. We have altready witnessed, batteries ranging from 5000 ~ 10000 mAh. Now, fast charge can also give immediate boost to battery life.
Phablets and Business Solutions
Microsoft’s Surface line and Google’s new Pixel C will be among the frontrunners of this new frontier.
software platforms like iOS and Android will have to shift things a bit in order to accommodate this outlook. From new input methods to multi-tasking, the operating systems will have to take into account a use case that isn’t completely driven by touch and single screen apps.
This is one of the most growing concept in Smartphones today. We may see some smartphones with 360 cam and capable of running videos in actual environment, Not just limited to Video, we have gone far with gaming also.
Till now Technical limitations, design and cost were the main hurdles, but most of these have been overcome, and now it looks like VR is reaching the ideal point that developers have been chasing for years.
