In order to provide more comprehensive look at the advanced functions and features embedded in the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, here is the complete teardown of the smartphones.

Galaxy S7 Display:

Galaxy S7 gives users the brilliance and crystal-clear images of the 2560×1440 Quad HD Super AMOLED display. In addition to the Always-On Display feature, which allows users to see notifications and other key information at any time, even when the screen is dark, the latest screen features even more useful.

With a dual-curved display in a 5.5-inch device, the Galaxy S7 edge offers an even more immersive experience in an equally stunning display. Plus, the expanded edge panel, which are now 550 pixels wide, provide users with  more room to use the growing range of edge functions, like Apps edge, People edge, Tasks edge, Night clock and Quick tools.

To make the new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge water and dust resistance, satisfying IP68 specifications, an exclusive type of water protective tape has been added to the back of the front and rear glass of the phone’s casing.

Bracket:

To have a smartphone thin and elegant, it needs to be as strong as possible, and the bracket of the Galaxy S7 protects the components from shocks and other impacts.

Cooling System:

In order to ensure the Galaxy S7 can handle even the toughest of processing loads—for example, from really graphics-intensive games—these new devices have added a cooling system, with a very thin thermal spreader.

Connectivity

microSD : Adding a hybrid SIM tray to the new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, these smartphones can now be expanded up to 200GB of memory, ensuring there is plenty of room for the photos, videos, music and other content that users want to carry with them.

Mobile AP : Optimized for better performance, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are equipped with the most powerful chipsets, providing more than 30 percent higher performance than the Galaxy S6.

UFS : By using Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 2.0 flash memory and LPDDR4 RAM, for even faster boot, copy and transfer times, users can do more seamless tasking.

NFC / MST :Samsung Pay has quickly become the most widely accepted mobile payment system, due to its unique combination of NFC technology and magnetic secure transmission (MST), ensuring it works nearly anywhere that accepts credit cards.

Wireless Charger : Following Samsung’s development of high-speed wired charging, now the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge feature fast charging wirelessl

HRM Sensor : The heart rate sensor enables users to monitor their physical information, which can be checked through the S Health app. In addition, the front-facing camera of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge lets you take selfies using your heart rate monitor sensor.

USB Connector : The new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones are IP68 certified, meaning they are water and dust resistance for up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes. To accomplish this, all the ports, including the USB charging terminal, had to be made from anticorrosive materials like nickel and platinum, with a gore portable electronics vent to ensure the elements stay out.
