How to transfer contacts from iphone to android


Most difficult part of switching Smartphones is transferring contacts specially when its from Android to iPhone or iphone to android

We have found some interesting ways to transfer contacts and sharing with you :

1. Simple method : One by one if contacts are few. Either through Email or Text message.

2. iCloud

  • Login to icloud from your computer
  • You will get few option sin settings – Export one by one or Select all
  • Click settings and export vcard ( vcf file )
  • Check the file location or store it where ever you want
  • Connect Android Smartphone and download vcard ( vdf ) file

3. Via 3rd party app

  • Download my contact app via Apple Store
  • Remember you need to have latest update of iTunes
  • This app will ask for permission for access to contacts
  • Click yes to access permission
  • Click backup
  • Option will be there to attach file to email
  • Open email and send attached vcf file
  • Open the email in any targeted phone , and import vcf file


4. Transfer contacts via gmail

  • After step 2 , when contacts are saved to local drive
  • Log in to Gmail account
  • Click Gmail logo with drop down menu options
  • It got two Options – Contacts and Task
  • Click Contacts and it will open in a new window
  • Click more and it will give you the option of import
  • Click import
  • A pop up will come with ” Go to old contacts “
  • Click ” Old contacts ” and you will be directed to a new window
  • Now finally click import and you will get the option to upload vcf file
  • you are done, import file and all contacts will be in sync will Google

5. Via iTunes – i prefer this method 

  • Download latest version of iTunes
  • Connect iPhone
  • Open the Device Usage page
  • Click info
  • Click ” sync contacts with “
  • Open Option of Google Contacts
  • Log in to Google account
  • Sync Contacts
