Statement by Apple
We are so far ahead that Apple has no choice but to work with us. “Apple is a great partner of ours,” Smith said. “Like Intel they like bringing really cool stuff to the market …As long as we’re bringing great technology to the marketplace, we’re enabling them to do great Apple products.” “Our leadership over the rest of the industry is extending,” Smith said. “We’re not delayed relative to the industry. We’re actually ahead of the industry.”
After loosing Apple iPad Business, Intel Mobile Chip division is already bleeding and suffered $ 7 Billion loss. Now rumors are that Apple is planning to break with Intel in next couple of years and will start using own processor, as reported by KGI. But still Intel is denying all rumors and stressing on very strong relationship with Apple. But, this industry is so volatile, any thing can happen any time.
If Apple uses own processor, What will be the options for Intel !!!
