Wio Link – Build your own IoT Applications

wio link-iot

Wio Link is designed to simplify your IoT development. It is an ESP8266 based open-source Wi-Fi development board to create IoT applications by virtualizing plug-n-play modules to RESTful APIs with mobile APPs.

The traditional methodology of building IoT applications consists of electronic engineering, micro-controller programming, network programming, IoT protocols handling and application development. Every step involves various hardware and software knowledge and challenges.

No hardware programming. No breadboard. No jumper wires. No soldering. 3 steps. 5 minutes. Build your own IoT applications!

What all you can do with Wio Link

  • Missed Calls Notification
  • Environment Monitor
  • Feed your pet
  • Water your plants in a smart way
  • Control Traffic Lights
  • Boss Key

Visual Configuration

Wio Link provides simple visual configuration via mobile APPs to replace the complex micro-controller programming. Drag and drop the sensor tags to certain pins then you can visually set up the hardware.

OTA (Over-The-Air) Firmware Updates
Wio Link compiles firmware through cloud and can do OTA (Over-The-Air) firmware updates. All the hardware libraries are ready in the cloud and you can proceed with software and applications development directly.
Plug-n-Play Groves

Wio Link connects to the large library of Grove modules. Grove is a family of plug and play, open-source sensors and actuators with standard interfaces as well as various functions. Much like Lego™, it takes an approach of building blocks to assemble a project. No breadboard. No jumper wires. No soldering.
IFTTT Application
Wio Link provides basic IFTTT (if-this-then-that) applications for you to interact with friends through Seeed IFTTT Channel. Make the LED strip light up in random colors or set up a reminder of wearing more clothes when it becomes colder. You could create more with Wio Link.
Android & iOS APPs
Wio Link mobile APPs can be used on both Android and iOS devices.
